Why the **** am I writing this again?
May 10, 2009
Well I’m Devon. For some unknowningly weird reason I decided to create a blog. It’s late at night, I might regret this tomorrow morning, but oh well everyone else seems to have one so I thought what the hell why not. I may update this or I may completely forget, but hey at least it will have one post in it.
Now, just so I don’t bore you to death, though I’m assuming that by this stage your either interested or you’v left which is a kind or paradox as you wouldn’t be reading this then. Anyway as your still here I’ll get one with the mildly interesting description of myself is as many words as I can come up with. Just to annoy you. Feel free to avail yourself of the back button at any time, I won’t hate you for it, actually unless you comment, I’ll have no idea you were here anyway. As you can see I get side tracked easily.
So anyway, I’m 14, I live in Canada, no I’m not going to tell you which city you stalker! Anyway if you follow the Canadian school system you would know that I’m in grade 9, i.e. the of four years of high school and if not then you learned it just now anyway. Since I was 2 down at my cottage, spending hours with my stuffed animals, yes you probably had a few too at that age, I have been an avid reader. In senior kindergarten in fact, everyone says kindergarden why is spelled that way is a mystery to me, I was 7 reading levels above the rest of the class. You can tell I’m infinitely proud of that can’t you? So since that time I’ve spent my days in a small secluded and sometimes a little dirty corner of my school yard going through a book that most people in my class haven’t even heard of. At 7 my mom started reading Harry Potter to me, at 9 my dad read Lord of the Rings, yes they lived separately, I’m a bastard and no that’s not a bad word it just means your parent never married. God Damn church! Oh and there’s another little interesting fact. I’m strongly aethist. I think the Church, not Christianity mind you, but the church, is a load of bull crap. Yes, so I was far above everyone else in reading and part of that package is that I had pretty much no friends and got bullied tons in my earlier years. My head was smashed against the pavement in grade 1 for crying out loud! So I read, I checked in to the library everyday and basically lived a normal life. In grade 4 I met an asian kid who was my friend though we drifted when he moved to the US and another in grade 6 who also drifted cause of conflicting interests. Grade 5&6 I had two awesome teachers one 56, one 30, we had some mentally challenged, and by which I mean anger problems not the other kind. After that I left, hating a good deal of people and wanted to never see them again. Moved to a school of 175 grades Kindergarten to 8, very small, I know, to this day, no one has heard of it, and spent two years there. It was down by the water so it had lots of condo’s around it and a strong asian and black community in the school. My teacher in my first year was in fact my cousins teacher 4 years ago when she was in grade 5 and while she was kind, she isn’t good with these grades, she’s short and nice and can’t’ deal very well with the unruly kids who went there many with anger issues. She shouted a lot. And the next year, same class, same group of 25 kids we got Mr D. Boyan Djuricic is 30 and from Bosnia and he was the best teacher I have ever had in my 11 years of school. He was funny, he used to diss of the more rougher kids with aditude problems and definitely gained their respect by being a cool teacher, he was also very smart and interesting having fled his country at 16 with his younger siblings and traveled around Europe. He was very well traveled and I actually managed to make strong bonds with the kids there and was the happiest I’ve been in school. Then high school, once again a smaller one only 500 and that’s where I am now. Since I got a mac powerbook G4 in November 2007, I have been an photoshop user, the guy who gave it to me was dating my mom at the time and was a Design Prof so he had some cool stuff on it. I also for the first time in forever, got in to music. I’ve always listened, but never been interested in pop music and stuff, never been my thing, but once I got a computer that wasn’t 5000000 years old like my last one which actually didn’t have any speaker jacks, I did say it was old right, I got right in to buying stuff from itunes and now I’m an addict. I got an nano for my birthday last November and it’s almost full now with stuff. Mostly pop, Kylie Minogue, Lady GaGa, The Saturdays (the brit pop band not the alternative), Leona Lewis, Gwen Stefani, Lily Allen, P!nk, Rihanna and Maroon 5 are all my favs at the moment. So the school year is wrapping up, life gets even more stressful ARGGGGGGGGG, and I procrastinate, another of my lovely traits, more and more. So after writing that “long and most likely extremely boring to everyone except myself” blog post, I think I will go and read H.I.V.E. under my bed covers now. My mom gets pissed when I wake her at 1:00 in the morning as it is now.
Goodnight and hopefully (or maybe not) there will be another post sometime in the near future.
P.S. And you really thought I was finished, didn’t you. Well I forgot and can’t think how to add it in so here it is. I’m a Doctor Who fan. For those who don’t know what that is, it’s the longest running sci-fi TV show and is made by the BBC. It’s about a man who travels around in a police phone box, and google search if you don’t know what those are. In fact if you like science fiction, then google the show too or start searching for torrents or something, because it’s a bloody brilliant piece of television and your life will not be complete without seeing it.
